Paradigm: "a philosophical or theoretical framework of any kind"
Purpose: The purpose of this web site is to provide quick access to information about many of the paradigms that exist today. Too often we subscribe to paradigms because of our upbringing, social circumstances, or other personal biases. However, it is imperative to critically examine these paradigms as to not wander blindly through our existence. When we do not critically examine our paradigms we often make poor choices that could negatively affect those around us.
Methods: Examining Paradigms has two facets: (1) a reference guide to information on numerous paradigms; and (2) a blog that will analyze the pros and cons of various religious, political, and social issues. This will be an ongoing project and information will be added slowly but steadily.
**Caveat: The author of the page was raised Mormon but is now an atheist. However, he maintains ties to the Mormon church because of familial relationships. The author will try to spread his efforts over many paradigms, but if you get the sense that a great deal of time is spent on Mormonism, you will know why. It is because of his roots, and because much of his knowledge is about Mormonism.**
